Stefano Giovannoni
Born to La Spezia in 1954, have been graduated
to the Faculty of Architecture of Florence in 1978, live and work in
Milan.\n\nFrom 1979 to 1981 he has carried out didactic activity and
of search to the Faculty of Architecture of Florence; he has been university
professor of master to the Domus Academy and in the University of the
Plan of Reggio Emilia. He was invited to hold workshop to the Royal
College of Art of London, to the Academy Or Kochoska in Vienna, to the
Hochschule der Bildenden Kunst di Saarbrücken, to the Quest Design
of Osaka.\n\nHe works in the field of the design, the inner ones, of
the architecture. He has collaborated with companies like Alessi, Flos,
Magis, Seiko, Pulsar, Helit, Kankio, Laufen, Oras, Hindu, etc. In 1991
he has planned the Italian pavilion for the extension “Les Capitales
Europeennes du noveau design” to the Centre Georges Pompidou.
In 1980 he gained the first prize to the competition “Shinchenchiku
Residential Competition” Design; with judge Kisho Kurokawa and
the first prize to “Concorso for one the public square to Croce
Saint sull’Arno”. In 1985 he gained the second prize to
the competition “Shinchenchiku Residential Competition”
Design; with judge Tadao Ando. In 1989 he has gained the first prize
to the “Concorso for the restructure of the historical center
of Castel di Sangro” with To Branzi and R. Buti. \n\nHis objects
of design have received the prize “Design Plus” to the fair
of Frankfurt - in editions Ambient 1994 and 1996, prize 100% design
to London in 1997, the prize “Forum Hannover” -1999 Design
and have been signal you to the “Compasso d’oro” in
1996 and 1998. His work make permanent part of archive of the Center
Georges Pompidou and the collection of the MOMA of New York. |
